 ☛ be abashed at 因…而感到慚愧/窘迫/不好意思

e.g. Caroline felt completely abashed at the sight that all the participants were wearing a formal dress while she was in mini-skirt.

凱瑞萊看見到場的其他人都很得體，而她卻穿著迷你裙時，她感到非常不好意思

☛ keep abreast of/with 與..並駕齊驅; 跟得上…

e.g. In order to survive in a world full of intense competition, an enterprise must keep abreast with the most advanced development in its field.

一個企業想要在這競爭激烈的社會生存下去，就必須掌握所在行業的最先進技術

☛ be absorbed in 專心於; 全神貫注於; 沈醉於

e.g. Max is rather absorbed in conducting her research on over-reliance on technology, doubting whether it makes human relationship more close to each other or not.

☛ heap abuse on 辱罵; 謾罵; 責罵

e.g. The governor had an affair with a film star and her husband was trying to trade on her relation with the governor for booming his business.
