[劇本] 英文戲劇演戲(融合台北東區特色)- Taipei Eastern District

因為托福課程(TOEFL Speaking Course)，寫下了一份五分鐘的英文劇本融合台北東區特色之詼諧劇情，在此放上劇本以便紀念。此劇本致力於用英文演戲的方式來介紹台北東區特色，讓參與者於歡笑聲中學習用英文說出台北東區的特色，許多梗的來源取自於美劇，例如利用英文雙關意表達兩層意思。

Darren- a heartbreaker who ever had 35 relationships in college
Stephanie- a whore who is thirsty for hotties and cuties
Sherry- a shy girl who hates Darren extremely
Joanna- a girl who always stands up for her besties

Narrator: Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, features its rapid industry development, the influences of multicultural diversity such as people, architectures, and, most importantly especially for the young, entertainment and recreation. When it comes to the most noticeable district in Taipei, Taipei Eastern District just comes to mind. Now, Darren and Joanna are dating in Fuxin streets, the main shopping region of eastern district.

Part 1: Fuxin District

Joanna: My sweet Darren, did you see that? The amazing clothing stores, fancy café, and snack stands! I want them so bad.

Darren: Baby, no worries! No matter what you want, I’ll give it my all to get you there. Even everything in the shop named Zara!
Joanna: (Dap Darren) Aww sweet! You sweet bad boy! You saw Luxy club ? I really feel like going clubbing tonight…

Narrator: At this time, a girl approaches them. (Sherry comes in) She is Darren’s ex-girlfriend, Sherry. But what’s really embarrassing is that, Sherry is Joanna’s BFF, best friend forever.

Sherry: Sup, Joanna!
Darren: Hi, Sherry!
Sherry: DANN!(the voice Justin usually made) you sick! Get away from me. Talking to you disgraces me.

Joanna: SHERRY! (Girl’s big and exaggerated hug) Miss you! Do you feel like going clubbing with us tonight? You know, the Luxy club.

Darren: Aww sweetheart, do you think it proper to go with others? Usually we Taipei native do not hang out with people from other cities, you know.
Joanna: DANN! Come on! How dare you hold region segregation! Anyway, she is my close friend and you should be sorry for what you just said. I SAY WE BREAK UP NOW!
Sherry: (To Darren) DANN!
(Sherry and Joanna leaves. Only Darren is on stage, with no facial expression)
Darren: DANN! (Darren leaves)

Part 2: Luxy Club
Narrator: Darren feels extremely depressed after breakup with Joanna. Consequently, he goes clubbing in Luxy for relaxation too. But he never knows what could be even scarier for him. Stephanie, Apple, or David whatever, is in there too. She is Darren’s ex-ex-girlfriend, and also his sister-in-law. Even worse, Stephanie is never short of guys; however, Darren is the most unforgettable boyfriend to her. Last but not least, Stephanie is Joanna’s and Sherry’s BFF, best friend forever, also.

Stephanie: (Anxious) Come on! Isn’t exotic cultures and hot foreigners the characteristic of Eastern District in Taipei? Why no hotties now? Uhh..
Sherry: (Sherry and Joanna come) Aw coincidence, you whore! You just came from W hotel, didn’t you? Seems like you’ve been addicted to the fancy night lives in Taipei!
Stephanie: (Shows no will to discuss) Whatever! You see any hottie, cutie here? I just bought a gorgeous dress from UNIQLO and bra from GAP for this party. How come there is no handsome man?
Darren: (Drunk, walking by and bumping into Stephanie) Oh god! Look at that gorgeous and sexy body! Her dazzling face touched my heart. And her bright, long, and slim legs… Holy shit! I am turned on…
Sherry: (To Darren) Is anybody talking?
Joanna: (To Darren) DANN! I am turned off ‘cause you are getting in my way. Sherry let’s visit Taipei 101 now, you know, the most famous tourist attraction in Eastern District.
Stephanie: (Little bit angry) Hi Darren Vietnam. You must be drunk. How can you get drunk in such a fascinating city as Taipei? Do you even remember the first time we dated in Taipei City Mall, eating fish ball soup, you held my hands and promised me you would marry me…
Darren: (Wake up) Are you Stephanie? Yeah I remember fish ball soup, the must-eat in Eastern District, Taipei. It means so much to both of us. I even wanted to give you a fish-ball ring to propose.
Sherry: (To Joanna) You know what? We should leave now.
Joanna: Totally agree. Seeing all this is disgusting… (Both leaves.)
Stephanie: You wanna go to Eslite now? You know, the 24-hr open book store in Eastern District. I got so much to say.
Darren: Me too. (Stephanie and Darren leaves)

Part 3: Eslite (the bookstore)
Narrator: Stephanie can’t hold back her feelings towards Darren. Eslite, the 24-hr open one in Eastern District, where their first hug, kiss, and (…) took place, is a meaningful place to them.

Stephanie: It’s been a long time uhh. Remember you fed me fish ball here while I was reading here?
Darren: How could I forget? You ate so much! When we dated in Dazzling café and Momo Paradise, you ate just like a pig. Each meal cost more than 2,500 NT dollars.
Stephanie: Come on! It’s your honor to have me as your girlfriend! See! All the girls in Eastern District look just like the same person. Their plastic surgerys really suck! I am totally real and non-artificial!
Darren: Yeah I know. I even know you read Taipei walker whenever you are eating fish ball. So… do you still like me?
Stephanie: Yes, except your being short.
Darren: I already know that. You know what? With a gorgeous face like yours, you don’t even have to develop personality.
Stephanie: Shut up. Don't waste my time. Let’s bound for lounge bars, and then have Din Tai Fong. After all these, let’s go to Woo bar, you know, the one Lady Gaga ever been to.
Darren: DANN! And EAT FISH BALL of course!
