這篇文章要分享drawback/ disadvantage/ downside的筆記，這三者意思基本上相等，英文解釋皆為："the negative side of something"，



☛ a drawback (n.) 缺點; 弱點; 不利因素

a drawback of/ to + 名詞

e.g. One of the drawbacks of  living with somebody is that you have to share the same space.
與他人居住的其中一個缺點就是必須要與人共用同一空間。


☛ a disadvantage (n.) 劣勢; 不利因素

a disadvantage of + 名詞

e.g. One of the disadvantages of living in town is that there are few convenience stores.
住在小鎮的其中一個劣勢就是只有很少的便利商店

* at a disadvantage 處於劣勢
e.g.The new law puts the poor at a distant disadvantage.
這項新法律使得窮人處於很不利的劣勢。


☛ a downside (n.) 不利的一面; 劣勢

a downside of/ to + 名詞

e.g. The downside of living here is that it is extremely expensive.
住在這裡的壞處就是極度昂貴

* downside與其他兩者的些微不同點就是在句子中經常使用單數名詞型態
