☛ unless 除非
You can't get a job unless you have experience.
= You can get a job only if you have experience.
除非你有經驗，不然你找不到工作。
Unless you love me, we can't be lovers.
= We can be lovers only if you love me.
除非你愛我，否則我們無法成為戀人。
☛ if 如果、假設..
If you love me, try to let me know.
如果你愛我，試著讓我知道。
If you hate me, stay away from me.
如果你討厭我，離我遠一點。
☛ as long as = so long as 只要...
As long as you work for him, he will treat you well.
只要你替他工作，他就會善待你。
So long as I can be with my dog, it doesn't matter how long I work.
只要我能跟我的狗在一起，工作多久都沒關係。
☛ supposing 假設...
Supposing (=if) I don't have to work tomorrow, what will you do for me?
