☛ spouse (n.) 配偶
- a person's husband or wife

e.g. Nowadays it is common that both spouses go out to work.
在現代，雙薪家庭是很常見的。




☛ partner (n.) 配偶; 情人; 性伴侶
- a person you are married to or living with as if you were married to them, or the person you are having a sexual relationship with


☛ mate (n.) 動物之另一半 (V.) 交配(動物)


☛ companion (n.) 同伴; 夥伴; 伴侶
- a person you spend a lot of time with either because you are friends or becasue you are traveling together

e.g. a traveling companion 旅伴


☛ husband/ wife (n.) 丈夫/ 妻子

☛ boyfriend/ girlfriend (n.) 男朋友/ 女朋友


☛ cohabit (V.) (尤其是未婚男女) 同居

e.g. cohabiting couples 同居伴侶

* cohabitation (n.) 同居

e.g. a cohabitation agreement 同居協議/條例


☛ be married to + 對象 = marry + 對象

切記與某人結婚的介系詞是"to"，而不是"with"。
(使用with的意思為，與某人「合辦」婚禮，而非與這對象結婚)
